{"id":73,"date":"2012-10-19T14:57:15","date_gmt":"2012-10-19T09:27:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prasadk.com\/my-press\/?p=73"},"modified":"2012-10-19T14:57:15","modified_gmt":"2012-10-19T09:27:15","slug":"forex-fundamentals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prasadk.com\/my-press\/forex-fundamentals\/","title":{"rendered":"Forex Fundamentals"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Forex Fundamentals<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Foreign-exchange market\u00a0(forex)<\/strong> rely on the same two basic forms of analysis that are used in the stock market.<br \/>\ni.e.,<strong> Fundamental Analysis<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Technical Analysis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The uses of technical analysis in forex are much the same, price is assumed to reflect all news, and the charts are the objects of analysis. But unlike companies, <strong>countries have no\u00a0balance sheets,<\/strong> so how can fundamental analysis be conducted on a currency?<\/p>\n<p>Since fundamental analysis is about looking at the intrinsic value of an investment, its application in forex entails looking at the economic conditions that affect the\u00a0valuation\u00a0of a nation&#8217;s currency.<\/p>\n<p>Here I list some of the major fundamental factors that play a role in the movement of a currency and will discuss about those in detail some other time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economic Indicators<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>The Gross Domestic Product (GDP)<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Consumer Price Index (CPI)<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Industrial Production<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Retail<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since economic indicators gauge a country&#8217;s economic state, changes in the conditions reported will therefore directly affect the price and volume of a country&#8217;s currency. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the indicators discussed above are not the only things that affect a currency&#8217;s price.
